who we are

Black Legacy Partners (BLP) was founded by nine community advocates and entrepreneurs in response to the George Floyd acquittal and the global racial uprising in 2020. We saw a clear need to to bring awareness to systemic racism while uplifting the Black leaders, creators, youth and entrepreneurs on Long Island who are too often overlooked.

BLP exists to spotlight our community’s contributions and build pathways to equity, opportunity, and collective progress through culturally grounded programs, advocacy, and community-centered initiatives. Our work is grounded in the belief that our communities deserve to be seen, valued, invested in, and celebrated.
