message about our
2025 juneteenth festival
We regret to inform you of the cancellation of this year's Long Island Juneteenth Festival. "This decision was not made lightly, but due to a significant decline in sponsor support, cutbacks and administrative mandates, we find ourselves unable to move forward with an event we are accustomed to producing.

For years, this celebration has stood as a powerful tribute to our shared history, culture, and resilience. We know how much the festival means to so many, and we share in the disappointment this news brings.
However, we're not giving up! Please know we are actively working on sustainable solutions to ensure that our community continues to have meaningful opportunities that unites us in celebration of our heritage. The spirit of Juneteenth is enduring, and while this year’s festival will not take place as planned, our commitment to honoring and uplifting our history remains as strong as ever.

If you believe in the importance of celebrating Black excellence, empowering our youth, and supporting Black-owned businesses on Long Island, we humbly ask for your support. A donation—of any amount—to Black Legacy Partners helps us continue this vital work and keeps our mission moving forward".
Stay tuned for future events and programs!
